The world

How the K.O. universe works.

Kindly Offensive turns brutally relatable human behavior into collectible comedy, products and recurring characters.

Not a novelty mug shop. Not a meme factory. Not edgy for the sake of it. An entertainment brand with the products embedded inside the entertainment: twelve characters, their mugs, and the situations you recognise from your own life.

Two realities.

The universe deliberately mixes two ways of seeing. It is not a stylistic suggestion. It is the brand.

Reality A · the cast

Characters and places are minimalist cartoons. Big simple white heads, no noses, simple lines, muted colours, deliberately basic settings.

Reality B · the merchandise

Real Kindly Offensive merchandise, mugs first, appears as it really is: photographed, never redrawn into a cartoon.

The Break Room.

A plain table, two mismatched chairs, one window, one coffee machine. The one place most coworker sketches happen, drawn identically every time so you recognise it instantly.

Somebody is always holding a mug. Nobody ever points it at the camera.

The rules of the joke.

Before a line becomes a mug or a sketch, it has to pass six questions. If the answer is weak, it is rejected. Automation is never an excuse for a mediocre joke.

  1. Would a real person actually say or think this?
  2. Is the wording surprising rather than templated?
  3. Does it work without any context?
  4. Does it avoid tired internet phrasing?
  5. Is it offensive in a playful, recognisable way rather than simply nasty?
  6. Is it memorable enough to share or gift?

The twelve.

Mugs first. Then collectible figures of all twelve. Then the sketches, where the mugs are props and the characters do the rest. Meet the K.O.s or shop the mugs.
